Tuesday night at the Loop
Wednesday, July 28th 2010, 5:39 AM 90 3
Cindy and I went out to see if the Lord would open up any witnessing conversations. Well, lots of tracts were taken and there were at least two gospel conversations. The first conversation was with a T-mobile employee. She was standing outside the store taking a break. We gave her some tracts and she started asking us some questions about the tracts. Eventually I told her the whole gospel (hopefully) and she said she would be guilty of her sin and going to hell. I asked her what was keeping her from repenting and trusting the Lord and she said she loved her sin too much. Interesting, eh? She was so candid and honest. I know that only the Lord can open her eyes and grant her repentance, and I pray He does.
The second conversation was with two girls (well, mainly one, since one girl stood there and listened). Cindy and I talked to Vonica (and Lesley the quiet girl). Vonica was set on doing work for God to make up for sin. I told her that her works are as filthy rags. I explained the need for a sacrifice. She thought sacrifice meant tithing. I explained about the the lamb sacrifices in the Old Testament and how they could only cover sin, but couldn't take away sin. Christ came, and John the Baptist said, "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world." I told her about Luke 15 (I love that chapter) of how Christ does all the work. Well, Vonica was sweet and listened to me talk (=?) I hope the Lord does a work in her life. At the end, Lesley piped up and asked me where I was going when I died. I explained I was going to heaven, not because of any goodness in myself, but because of what Christ did on the cross. Please pray for these girls if you think about it. All for now, Sarah
