A co-worker went next door to the bank today and ran into a couple of Mormons. He invited them to come see me. He came back and told me that they were coming in...oh great! Thanks for the set-up. I've never talked to a Mormon before. They came in and introduced themselves and I asked them if they were also Christians and they said...yes. I then told them that I was a Christian and asked...does that make me a Mormon also? To that they said...no. So I said, then there must be a difference between a Christian and a Mormon. They didn't have an answer for that and proceeded to tell me about the Book of Mormon. I told them that I go by the Bible and they said that they did too. I quickly asked them about the Mormon Jesus and wasn't He the brother of Lucifer. They kinda wanted to avoid that. One of the Elders was more seasoned than the other and was beginning to feel uneasy. I then asked if they considered themselves to be a good person to which they both said.... yes. I pointed out that the Jesus of the Bible said that "no one was good but God" and either Jesus was wrong or they were wrong. They both wanted to know what story that I was referring to. I told them about the "rich young ruler". The seasoned one then wanted to know what I was trying to do to them. I said that I just wanted to make sure that they had the right Jesus and if not they were still in their sins. Sorry but you have the wrong Jesus I told them. The seasoned one then said to the other Elder let's go we can't do anything more here and he left. Now the other one just stood there bewildered and finally left also at the beckoned call of the other.
Good job Raymond! I have never talked to a mormon either (of course now you have). I have had encounters with the JW's. I really like how you started talking to them. I'm going to have to remember that! God bless!!
That's incredible! God really gave you wisdom there. I pray God would really convict them of their sin and defeat their pride. Hopefully they will humble themselves before God. in much prayer - Paul
